The Aventurine family, imho, doesn't get as much respect as it should. Most people are just familiar with green aventurine, but there are many different colors of aventurine out there. One of my favorites is white aventurine, but I also like the red and pink colors. Sometimes the pink/mauve colored aventurine is mistakenly sold as "lepidolite".
Aventurine has these lovely bits of sparkly goodness within it. It's those sparkles that make me happy with this family. Think of them as fairy dust, giggles, glitter, or little effervescent scrubbing bubbles within a type of quartz (aventurine is in the quartz family) that help to tickle your energies through the color lens of the stone. Green tickles heart healing and abundance issues. Red tickles (ahem) the root, manifestation, and passion. Pink and mauve also tickle the heart and crown. White, golly, I see it as sparks of twinkling starlight. I add aventurine in grids, pouches, and work in which I either want scrubbing bubble action or a burst of sparkling happiness, or "all that and a toss of glitter".
Aventurine plays well with: Abundance stones (citrine, emerald, ruby, sapphire) Cleansing stones (salt, labradorite, selenite) With matching color stones With happy stones (Ocean Jasper, citrine, topaz, sunstone)
