Fossils are the ancient echos of once living animals or plants that died in the distant past. Through various geological activities, the organic matter was replaced by minerals over time so that the form and physical appearance of the organism was basically recorded in stone.
Some of the most well-known fossils include ammonites, trilobites, and orthoceras, but other material, such as bone or ancient tusk can also be fossilized. Ancient tusk is often called "fossilized ivory", which can be used instead of real ivory for it's metaphysical properties without harming animals that are alive. All fossils have the property of linking to Earth's past, as well as to past-lives, and to past-life or Earth wisdom. Many also have other attributes, depending on their structure, past habitat, and dependng on what mineral has replaced the organic matter.

Fossils play well with: Each other Past life support stones (Ocean Jasper, shungite, record keeper crystals) Earth worker stones (Green Earth Healing Quartz, Shaman Stones/moqui marbles, Polychrome Jasper) Also, stones from a common habitat, like the ocean, or from a specific geological location.
